The office at CHKC Training Centre will be closed from Monday December 25th to Monday January 1st. The office will reopen on Tuesday January 2nd.

This years keynote speaker will be Michael McNeely. Michael, who is deaf-blind works at the Canadian Helen Keller Centre as an advocacy instructor where he helps individuals who are deafblind to learn about their rights. He is also a current board member for CDBA Ontario.
This years recipient of the CHKC Award will be the Deaf-Blind Adventurers, a group that was formed to help reduce isolation by bringing people together.
In celebration of June as Deafblind Awareness Month, we are once again holding our annual charity auction on eBay from June 1, 2017 to June 30, 2017. The auction is being hosted by Canadian Helen Keller Centre to raise funds and to increase awareness of the disability of deafblindness.

Celebrate National Deafblind Awareness Month at JuneFest 2017
Monday June 12th from 10am – 4pm, we will be hosting our annual JuneFest event at Nathan Phillips Square that is located in the heart of downtown Toronto at 100 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M5H 2N2. We will continue our tradition of presenting the JT Award to a deserving individual, consumer group or service provider who, demonstrate excellence in creating awareness of the disability of deafblindness, expanding services and programs, and ensuring consumer involvement at all levels. We are also thrilled to have DJ Mike join us again for the sixth year in a row and provide us with music and entertainment for the day.
As an added bonus: The City Hall Towers will be lit up blue and celebrating June as Deafblind awareness month the night of June 12th until dusk the following morning.
